O’Sullivan wins Northern Ireland Trophy

O’Sullivan, 32, beat underdog Dave Harold 9-3 to claim the Northern Ireland Trophy in Belfast. In doing so O’Sullivan who is nicknamed ‘The Rocket’ became the first player to win back to back ranking titles for four years.

Harold started well winning the opening frame of the match but O’Sullivan then raced into a 5 frame lead.

Harold has not won a title since winning the 1993 Asian Open, although after his successful run in Belfast moves to number 14 in the rankings.
