Local Player Mark Joyce Faces Current Champion John Higgins in the First Of The Grand Prix

World Champion and current Grand Prix Champion John Higgins will begin his defense of his Grand Prix title when he faces Mark Joyce as the event begins on Saturday October 3rd. Last year Higgins beat Ryan Day in the Final.

Walsall, west Midlands born Joyce got through to the last 32 of the ranking event for the first time after getting through the qualifying rounds which were played at Pontin’s in Prestatyn.

Also in the competition, Ronnie O’Sullivan will play Glaswegian Jamie Burnett and Stephen Hendry will play Matthew Selt from London.
