Snooker Cues are an important part of your snooker game and you should always choose your snooker cue carefully. If you’re just getting into the game of snooker, and you have so far been playing with a variety of cues, you would have noticed that each one feels different. This is because every cue is unique and different cues will feel either great or terrible to play with, depending on your own personal preferences.

Investing in your own cue can really improve your game, as you will get used to the feel of your cue and how it ‘plays’ over time. Professional snooker players usually play every game with the same cue, because they know exactly how their cue will perform in every situation during the game.

Because you will need to develop a ‘relationship’ with your cue and play with it for a long time, you need to make sure you make the right choice. You also need to choose a cue that will last you for years to come and it is sensible to invest in a quality cue that you will be truly happy with.

The cues available from Birmingham Billiards are hand made to a superior standard from the finest materials, such as high quality American Ash for the shaft. Our cues come in a variety of weights, so that you can find a heaviness to suit you. A range of finishes are also available, from ebony and walnut veneers to diamond tips, so that your cue will look as good as it feels.

Snooker Cues that have been hand made by experts are available when you come to Birmingham Billiards. You will find a full range of cues to suit every budget when you come to our online store – simply take a look around our website to find out more. If you would like more information about our cues, snooker tables or pool tables, then please get in touch. You can contact us by filling out the enquiry form on our website and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

As Mark Selby was still feeling the euphoria of his win over Ronnie O’sullivan at the Pokerstars.com Masters title, Ronnie had some sobering comments for him following the final showdown, dismissing Mark Selbys chances of ever winning a world championship trophy .

It is not unusual to hear Ronnie O’sullivan talking doom and gloom following his loss, and indeed even new snooker chief Barry Hearn called him “a miserable so and so”, Ronnie O’sullivan could not help smeer the praise for mark Selbys amazing comeback by stating that he would not be capable of ever winning a world title…showing Ronnies irritation.

Loosing a final after creating such a lead is nothing new for Ronnie O’sullivan, having previously lost Masters finals to John Higgins, Steve Davies, and the late Paul Hunter after being well in the lead.

Ronnie’s statement was ““You need consistency to win world titles and I haven’t got it. It’s a miracle I have won it three times. It would be mission impossible for me to win it again this year – but for the same reason I don’t think Selby has got the game to win it either.”

Mark selby replied with “It was sweet beating Ronnie. He is always a big scalp.”

we look forward to these two meeting again at some point!

What do you think about Ronnie O’sullivans comments ?

Snooker player Jimmy White has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of trying to get his friend, a 60 year old man from Jersey, to take the penalty points which he received for being caught speeding.

The Sunday Mirror has reported that White is thought to be on the verge of a driving ban. White was caught speeding in Prestatyn in Denbighshire and then later received a speeding ticket through the post.

The six times World Snooker Champion who is now 47 years old, is thought to have passed the points on to a friend who lives in Jersey, where the British driving endorsements do not count.

White could be charged with perverting the course of justice, however officers are currently still investigating.

Both White and his friend were questioned and have been released on police bailed until next month pending further inquiries.
