Couch has Paul Hunter title to defend
Entries are now being taken for the Paul Hunter English Open, taking place from July 27 until August 3.
In memory of Paul, the EASB approached Paul’s family asking for their permission to rename the English Open. The event was a great success with Matthew Couch defeating Australias Neil Robertson 6-5 in a nail biting final last year.
For each entry £5 will be donated to the Paul Hunter Foundation, a charity established by his widow, Lindsay. The charity introduces disabled and underprivileged children to snooker.
Entry to the championship is open to all players, professional or amateur and of any nationality and will cost £60 for EASB members and £75 for others. The closing date for entries is June 30.
