Double Maximums For White and O’Sullivan

Filed under: General Knowledge, match highlights — admin @ 9:42 am

Jimmy White and Ronnie O'Sullivan

Jimmy White and Ronnie O’Sullivan both scored consecutive 147 Maximums whilst playing an exhibition match in Trim, County Meath, Ireland.

White told The Sun newspaper “Ronnie had a 147 and because we were playing a doubles match he decided to have one more game so that the other lads could have a few shots and then I happened to have a 147. We worked out it has never been done in snooker before. It was an amazing feat and I am totally pleased.”

Birmingham Billiards researched this and found that although this is the first double maximum by two different players Peter Edbon did manage two consecutive 147’s in an exhibition against Steve Davis in 2003.
