Stephen Maguire

Stephen Maguire failed to defend his Chinese Open title at the first hurdle.

Maguire was beat by Englishman Dave Harold 5 - 0 in the first round. Despite Harold being placed 26 places below Maguire he still managed to outclass the world number 2. Maguire admitted that Harold left him “in trouble” every time he came to play his shot, even though Maguires form had previously been solid. He is said to be dissapointed in his performance.

Other news in the championship:
- Former two time world champion John Higgins came from 4 - 0 down to beat Anthony Hamilton in the final frame.
- Rob Milkins will face Stephen Hendry this Wednesday after beating Northern Ireland’s Jow Swail 5 - 4.

Kevin is no stranger to appearing on television on Vernon Kay and has also co-hosted ITV’s ‘Entertaining Elvis’ with Sarah Cawood. Kevin was also asked to play the voice of Elvis on BBC4 Radio to commemorate 30 years since Elvis - ‘Left The Buiding’
